Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Studio Theatre Club?
The STC is a small, friendly, amateur drama club, based in Headington. We enjoy staging plays and we have a strong social side outside rehearsals, too.
Age range
Will you be too young/too old? Unlikely. Nominally our age range is 18+, but most members are in their 20s, 30s & 40s with a few, too, in their 50s/60s, and from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Past productions
We try to present as wide a variety as possible of scripted drama. Recently we’ve staged Terry Pratchett’s Murder in Ankh-Morpork, Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Shakespeare's Macbeth
What’s Next?
We're currently holding regular play reading evenings on Thursdays, and we will be having a Casting Readthrough on Thursday 13 August 2026 for The Importance of Being Earnest. We'll stage that in November – and that Casting Reading will be at the Bullingdon Community Centre at 19:30. If you're interested in being involved, drop us an email to info@studiotheatreclub.com
Where are we?
We meet at the Bullingdon Community Centre, which is at the end of Peat Moors, The Slade, Headington.
You might prefer to email first, to check we'll be there.
