Aslan sculpture outside Bury Knowle Library (2017)
Matt Cave (who also created the Storybook Tree in Bury Knowle Park in 2005) sculpted Aslan, the lion in C. S. Lewis's The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe from the trunk of a felled tree outside Bury Knowle Library in January and February 2017.
It was organized by the Friends of Bury Knowle Park and paid for out of £12,000 of funding from the 5p carrier-bag levy at Tesco

A bench behind Aslan (above) was carved with smaller figures from the Narnia books. These were vandalized in the week ending 18 March 2017, but have now been repaired:
