A40 subway: Risinghurst/Sandhills murals (2013)
This mural on the walls of the underpass running beneath the A40 between Risinghurst and Sandhills has an ecological theme, but also features Wheatley Park and Sandhills sections.
Oxfordshire County Council pledged £20,000 to give the underpass a facelift, and resurfaced its walls. Sandhills Primary School teacher Emma Hunter-Lacey worked with pupils to come up with a design for a mural, and students from Wheatley Park School set to work in October 2013.
